Who Are We Looking For?

Previous experience is a plus, but personality and initiative are more important to us as there will be on-the-job training. NOTE: You must have basic data entry & filing skills.

All interns will have the opportunity to experience multiple phases of a small business operation, as well as general office and clerical duties. The following list includes general duties all interns will be performing:
- Assisting Office Manager
- Assisting with or Managing Projects (see below)
- Proofreading

- Researching
- Answering Phones & Customer Service
- Monitoring & Responding to E-Mail
- Running Errands
- Preparing Packages
- Making Copies
- Faxing
- Filing
- Any Other Office and Clerical Duties
DURATION:
Minimum 3 month internship.
SCHEDULE:
Must be available to work at least 18 hrs. per week broken into two day shifts. Office hours are 10am-7pm Mon.-Fri.
COMPENSATION:
- This is an unpaid internship.
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum $10 per day.
- Letter of recommendation will be given upon successful and satisfactory completion of internship.
- School credit, based upon the criteria of your school.

Job Description
During this internship, students will:
-Be exposed to many different facets of PR through constant interaction with agency's Managing Director, Senior Media Specialists and Account Executive; this includes, but is not limited to: media relations, corporate PR; intern will learn how each type of PR interacts to shape a company's media image
-Develop a deeper understanding of how American media operates
-Acquire and hone strategic development and research skills necessary for drafting proposals and PR plans
-Become familiar with daily operations of a PR firm and learn how to be part of a fast-paced team
The above will be reached through training, development, constant feedback and participation in a variety of media relations related tasks such as:
-Campaign research
-Pitch development
-Media monitoring
-Database maintenance
Potential exists to take on increased responsibilities as reflective of the intern's progress.
Requirements
Potential interns must be able to commit to at least 2 full days per week for a period of approximately 3 months.
